Thanksgiving week......

Hi Family and Friends! This is Curt, Brittany, Brett's, and my favorite time of year. We love the holidays! Amy Grant has a song, "This is the time of year when the world falls in love" A very special song....music is a big thing in our home... ...in fact I brought out the Holiday cds and began playing them last night...so fun! This is Thanksgiving week and a time where we as a family sit around and share all the memories of the year and the blessings that God has blessed us with. It has been a jam packed year for us..........6 months of traveling to Duke...and a story from every trip....just to mention a few....the beautiful staff at Duke University Hospital, the Growing Crater on Curt's leg from the vaccine, the many blessings of friendships we met in the airports, the beautiful staff at Washington Duke Inn.... the famous Hospital Midnight Escape, the incredible story in the Movie Theater in Palm Springs, and the blessings of seeing Curt press through this incredible journey......it has not been easy for the four of us but God has held our hand through it all, just like he tells us He would. We have been blessed by many new friends who have come along side us and helped in many ways and we give thanks for you. We give thanks for this new chemo and avastin...Curt is taking.... for killing off the new growth on the tumor and we pray that it will do the same on the new fuzzy area they found in the back of Curt's brain. What a year!! Curt and I were going away for Thanksgiving and then decided to have a "Cozy" stay-at-home Thanksgiving. We are going to a Thanksgiving service at our church on Wednesday night...and Thursday the four of us are staying in our jammies all day......lighting the fire... watching the Thanksgiving Parade and then all the football games and fix a simple dinner. Simple, relaxed and Cozy...we can't wait! We wish all of our family and friends far and near a blessed Thanksgiving and safe travel. From our home to yours, God bless.
