Hi from North Carolina!
Hi Ya'll!! Well it took us almost 11 hours to get here yesterday!! East coast weather was acting up!! We arrived at our hotel around 10:15pm and the weather was around 80 degrees. Smoke was covering the sky too. Many fires in the area. Curt and I went to the hospital around 9:00 this morning and had blood work down along with meeting his two nurses, Sharon and Beth. We've become family! We shared the things that Curt is experiencing along with some of the crazy stories that have been happening....you can ask us about them and we'll share with you....too long to write them here. Curt got his vaccine and instantly he began to react to it. They informed us that was good. His vaccine began to swell and turn red along with a headache and very cold hands....part of the reaction ....and that is a GOOD thing they tell me! So we were done around noon (A short trip this time) so went to lunch and back to the hotel to take a nap!! Curt's down at the gym right now, it's 3:50pm here, and we decided we'd go out tonight for a nice dinner before settling down for the night. We fly home tomorrow....should be home around 3:30pm. Curt will be speaking on Saturday...telling his story and his journey with a glioblastoma tumor. It will be at a men's breakfast in Vista. Curt's energy is up ...more so than it was this last weekend.... this is the time when his platelets start to drop....pray for his platelets to stay above 100,000! He will have blood work on Tuesday and chemo is scheduled to start Thursday. The cycle starts all over again......didn't we just get back from Palm Springs???? Anyway, thank you to all who have been encouraging us this week, it sure helps!! We love you all, Shari

Shari, I really proud of you. You do such a marvelous job of attending your husband. I enjoy your updating us on his progress. Hugs, Maggie.
