.....no driving??????

Hi Everyone! Happy Mother's Day to All who are moms or moms to be! It has been a relaxing weekend for us... Brittany and Brett are out of town and Curt and I had the house to ourselves! It was sooooo quiet ...not sure Curt liked that! I soaked it up!! A few days ago a friend of ours gave us a book, the story of Rich Emerine's journey with a glioblastoma tumor. Rich was a great friend. Curt has been reading this book every morning and learning a few things from Rich. The book is mostly inserts from Rich's journal, the trials, the outbursts, the journey of a new lifstyle, and the no driving rule! Curt came to me yesterday and felt that maybe it wasn't a good idea that he's on the road driving.....that was answered prayer! This tumor acts up and if Curt is behind the wheel when it decides to move.....he and everyone on the road is in trouble! This is so hard on Curt and being dependent on others for transportation,.....it stinks! Rich was a Navy doctor and an incredible athlete so Curt can relate to several of his stories. Wednesday we're off to Duke for his vaccine and several appointments. If all goes well and platelet counts are up he'll start chemo the following week and we'll be back on schedule. His next MRI is scheduled for June. This is a busy week for the Condon home so I'll update you when we're back at Duke. God Bless, Shari
