this Army Will March On......

Happy New Year to All!! WOW....can you believe it's 2008 already? Curt and I went on a walk on New Years Eve afternoon, after he had his nap.....we went down memory lane for 2007...starting with the 2007 Golf Tournament. We went week to week and month to month...talking about the many people that have come along side us to help support us in so many ways with this incredible journey of cancer. We had fun talking about the Washington Duke Inn staff, the hospital staff at Duke, the famous Hospital Escape...that I will Never Forget....the many people we have shared our story with at airports, and the love you all have sent our way....that walk filled up an hours worth of memories. We are so thankful for your many acts of kindness and love. It means so much to us to know we have an army of friends and family behind us to encourage us on. Curt has had the month of December off from chemo which has been a great break ....he has had a few bumps in the road though with this darn tumor. He has experienced many headaches, and loss of memory and words to complete his thoughts. This frustrates both of us....we're hoping it is the Avastin starving the tumor. Yesterday was January 2nd and Curt had his 3 month follow up MRI. He has a doctor appointment today at 2:00 to have the reading of the MRI and to check him over. Tomorrow is back to chemo and avastin. I'm still trying to be creative and think of fun things to do and take Curt to when he feels up to it...just to take our minds off this tumor. Curt's sister, Laura, is working real hard along with Donnie Dee, to set up another Curt Condon Classic Golf tournament...scheduled for January 28th. We are so in awhhhh.....with so many people who care and want to help with this incredible fight. Thank you ahead of time!!!! We're not sure where God is leading us right now but we are so thankful you are with us and this army Will March On! God bless you All, Shari
