Curt continues to Make the Day Count............
Good Morning!! Are you Making The Day Count? Curt certainly is!! We thought he was taking his last breath on Monday. His heart rate was 139, his temp was 103.9, his oxygen intake was 83%, 94% and above is safe, and he was in intense pain. We called family up to pray and say good by. Hospice came and set up to stay with us until God calls him home. But we know that our loving God has the perfect time set when He is calling Curt home and it wasn't time!! Tuesday came and I woke up at 6:30am and came downstairs to see his nurse talking with him. I looked around the nurses shoulder and Curt's eyes were open! Brittany and I had an hour of time to talk with Curt, pray with him, we read the bible to him and had some fun laughs. So amazing!! He's making Every Day Count....and he's not ready yet!! The nurses are blown away with his strength. We called Brett to let him know his dad's eyes were open and told him to talk to dad.....Curt tried to tell him, I love you. That was a gift God gave us. Our friends, the Jansens and Alfonzos, lead worship, and came over along with Donnie and Curt's parents. We sang, prayed and read scripture yesterday, it was another moving moment. Today is Wednesday, his eyes open and close at times and he looks very peaceful. He still looks amazingly strong....he looks like he's taking a short nap! The nurse last night told Brittany and I, only 1 in 500 people open their eyes after going into a coma like Curt went into on Monday....we are blessed to be that small percentage that can share these last special moments of time with Curt with his eyes open. God is so good! Curt continues to Make the Day Count.....so lets All try to do the same!! I know it has been too long in between updates.....I will let you know on the lastest...and when God calls Curt home. So Make Today Count!! God bless, Shari

It was so good to read your update today! What a gift from the Lord you have received! I was logging on to leave what I read during my quiet time today, it seemed just meant for you all and was blessed myself by your news.

My prayer for you all today was for a special blessing today. For Curt: comfort,peace, joy and reward. For the family: strength, peace, comfort and increased faith in the Lord's ability to carry you through this dark time. I asked the Lord for a great harvest of those that don't know Him to be affected by your family's faith. I also asked Him to assure all involved that He doesn't waste His children's pain-to make it a blessing as only He can.

Bless your hearts….Our prayers continue to be with you as you have these last precious times to talk and pray with Curt.. we pray that you can comfort him and let him know he leaves you all in God’s good hands.. that you all will be okay after he’s gone…that, like Timothy, he has fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith.. with no regrets, no unfinished business… we ask God to answer Curt’s and his family’s prayer, like he did for Timothy, to “rescue me from every evil attack and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom.” May God’s words from Ecclesiastes give Curt relief and release, that there is a time for everything. Curt’s done so much, touched so many lives…if Curt needs it, we pray that God gives him peace and reassurance that it’s okay to let the Father sweep him into his arms now…maybe a little like a small boy who’s fighting bedtime even though he’s so, so tired?
Have you ever heard the hymn “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need”?...so comforting:
The sure provision of my God attend me all my days;
O may Thy house be my abode, and all my work be praise;
There would I find a settled rest, while others go and come;
No more a stranger, nor a guest, but like a child at home.
We are praying for a peaceful trip home for Curt, according to God’s will, and in answer to the prayers of his brothers and sisters in Christ who hate to see him suffer. And we pray that Curt’s incredible family and loving friends are strengthened and comforted during this time, certain in the knowledge that God will eventually do away with death and mourning and crying and pain, and that by His grace we will all have citizenship together in heaven, where “Jesus Christ who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” Amen.
Shari, You are amazing!!!! God has blessed you with incredible gifts and talents. Your ability to communicate to all of us in such a Godly way is a gift you need to seek the Lord with after Curt leaves us. This dark world needs to hear your story. You have such a loving heart and share in such a way we all can understand. Please continue to write! Lord, bless Shari and her children today! Amen, Susan
Shari, You are an incredible woman of God! I know your story. I know the struggles you've had with sides of the family. You continue to shine for Jesus through it all. Lord, bless her. Curt knew he was marrying an amazing woman and God is so pleased with you and your servanthood. You continually serve others in your very special way and make all feel welcome in your home. There is a very special place in heaven for you some day with Curt. God bless you!

i remember the great times we had playing tennis for all those years. we have had so much fun. you were the best tennis teacher i have ever had, and also the best spiritual man i have ever known. God has really bleseed me with meeting you. i pray for you and i am looking forward to seeing you again in heavrn or on earth. i hope to grow up to be even half of a spiritual leader as you are. i will never forget all you tought me on the tennis court or off the tennis court. i still remember that evry time i said i couldnt do something or i couldnt get throgh something you would tell me that we can do all things with Christ who strengthens us, and now i am going to tell you that.

Hi Curt, Shari and Brittany,
So good to hear you had a blessed day. I learned about listening prayer yesterday and wanted to share. In Joshua 6:13 is the story of the commander of the LORD's Army appearing to Joshua. Instead of Joshua asking for something he simply said "What message does my LORD have for his servant." and he listened. Let the peace of the Lord wash over you now as you listen for Jesus.
